As co-founder and CEO of Platform Smart, the UK’s only true hybrid technology professional services firm, I am responsible for ensuring our business strategy and direction is aligned to the ever-changing needs of our clients both today and in the future. I am passionate about two things, people and technology and love combining the two and seeing the fascinating and interesting projects and programmes we deliver to our clients.
I continue to remain actively engaged with many of our clients as well as a variety of external stakeholders, working closely to ensure that we are consistently leveraging the full breadth of Platform Smart to deliver impactful and meaning results to our clients and community.

Having spent many years delivering to clients and undertaking various account management roles, I genuinely feel that I have gained a good understanding of the challenges, stresses and needs from both a client and associate perspective.

I have and always had a strong technical interest throughout my life and developed my career off the back of that interest, I believe strongly a career should work from the bottom up to develop the encompassing knowledge that it brings through experience, I take this passion of technology and determination to help people transition into the work that we do.
Focusing on what and how we deliver is core to our engagements and I thoroughly enjoy working closely with our associates, learning from their experiences and capabilities to enable us to delivery to our clients as we promised, I hold true to the belief that this approach is what has enabled success in growing relationships. My first role following university was as a consultant, delivering quality outcomes to complex problems. 28 years and 100’s of clients later I find myself enjoying the role more than ever. I receive a huge amount of personal satisfaction in meeting new people, understanding the heartbeat of new organisations and quickly providing solutions, ranging from point fixes to an overhaul of project delivery and outsourcing. No matter the blend of technology, industry, organisation, at the heart of all engagements are the people who make the real difference, and my simple aim will always be to ensure clients and associates receive the best of experiences while delivering all types of quality change.

With over 20 years’ experience delivering complex business and technology programmes across airports, transport and other regulated industries, I bring a broad perspective shaped by a range of delivery and leadership roles. I work closely with clients to understand their challenges and the unique aspects of their operating environment.
Having held a variety of roles, I understand how to approach complex challenges and the capabilities needed to address them. It is not always easy to create the right solution first time, but I value the learning that comes with that process and it drives me to tackle challenges that others have found difficult. I take a pragmatic and outcomes focused approach, and I build strong, trusted relationships with both teams and customers while genuinely enjoying what I do.

The thing I love most about a career in Finance is that it touches every part of a business. Having spent 15 years in the finance world, across multiple industries, I still find huge satisfaction in aiding all areas of a business to link their strategies to the financial needs and goals of the company. Whether this be through the breaking down and analysis of financial data to aid in decision making or simply providing a different view point on a subject.
I’m motivated by driving processes and financial controls which form the foundation in which to enable a company’s strategy and ideals to be successful and sustainable. I believe good communication and strong relationships are what enables a company to thrive and utilise the unique skills and personalities that each person brings to a business.

I began my career in aviation in 2018 on a graduate management scheme with Aviation Business Continuity, gaining experience across training, sustainability, and project management. This gave me an appreciation of how different areas of the industry connect and the importance of adapting to varied challenges.
In 2021 I joined Platform Smart as an Associate, working as a PMO on aviation projects. Having spent several years in client-facing roles, I built a strong understanding of how large, complex environments operate and the demands placed on Associates delivering within them.
Now in a permanent position as Project Coordinator, I draw on that Associate experience to support others in the field. I understand the challenges our Associates face on projects and use that insight to help them succeed, whether that’s through coordination, guidance, or ensuring they have what they need to deliver effectively.

I joined Platform Smart’s accounts team in 2021 and have enjoyed working closely with colleagues to streamline our month-end processes. By improving efficiency, we ensure invoices are sent promptly, giving customers plenty of time to review, approve, and raise any queries. This also means they receive their reports earlier in the month, helping them stay informed.
Building strong relationships with customers and associates is something I take pride in, as it creates a positive and collaborative working environment for everyone.

As one of the two individuals responsible for Platform Smart's social media and communications, as well as organising events, my role is incredibly important to me. It’s a key reason why our Associates stay well-informed and feel connected to the Platform Smart community at all times. Collaborating with some of them to create thought leadership content is a significant part of my work, as it provides our Associates with a platform to share their expertise and opinions on various topics.
One of my favourite aspects of my role is organising internal and Associate events, whether it's our large networking events or more intimate team-building activities.
