A major UK airport was facing new Department for Transport compliance regulations requiring an upgrade from legacy two-dimensional scanning technology to advanced three-dimensional CT scanning across all passenger security lanes. With approximately 150 security lanes spread across multiple terminal buildings and the airport operating continuously, the challenge was substantial. The modernisation required coordinating complex technology deployment, construction and logistical work, supplier management, and technical standardisation whilst maintaining uninterrupted airport operations.
