Account Updates

In the latest update, our Director, Shane Colombo, outlined some of the key developments with IAG and Suez.

If you didn’t see it on LinkedIn, Oscar and I visited Waterside last week to meet with British Airways and discuss their pipeline of exciting projects they have coming up. We met with a number of senior, key stakeholders to discuss how Platform Smart might be able to help leverage our strength and depth in aviation to help accelerate a number of initiatives they are working on. In particular, we talked about a number of more ‘security-focused’ projects where we are delivering very similar projects at other clients in the aviation ecosystem and how we might be able to leverage the learnings, come together as a team of ‘sector experts’ for the benefit of our clients, delivering faster with high-quality project outcomes for reduced investment than if they approached in a traditional way. Interesting conversations indeed, watch this space for more!

At the same time, we’ve been building momentum with Suez. What began as initial architectural discussions and early support in this space has now developed into higher-level discussions with the CIO and the wider leadership team on how Platform Smart could help with some of their key priorities in 2025 and beyond, and we are now close to finalising a framework agreement that will make it easier for Suez to commercially engage with us going forward. This is an important milestone; not only does it strengthen our relationship with them, but it also sets the stage for a strong pipeline of potential opportunities.

All of this provides many interesting and exciting opportunities for our associates. Each of the areas our clients are focusing on represents major programmes of work that span multiple technology domains and business functions and impact core business processes. As these conversations progress further, they will form new, interesting engagements and opportunities to involve many associates, old and new, in technology changes for the good of our clients. In short, the activity with IAG and Suez is more than just a series of projects; it is the start of a pipeline where many of our associates will be able to play a part and make a visible impact.
